May Flowers: Lily of the Valley & Hawthorn

According to folklore, or mystical endowments, each month has a flower attached to the month, and within the flower there is a meaning to it. Very much like zodiac signs. But the flowers, are actually based on seasons. Each flower has a special appearance, color, and scent that make it unique and therefore has a unique meaning (Wikipedia).  Every month, we will talk about the birth flowers until  February 2018. This year we started with May. There are two flowers for the month of May: Lily of the Valley and the Hawthorn.
Presenting the ever lovely: Lily of the Valley

This flower represents:
Humility, chastity, and sweetness. Sweetly scented and rare this flower also signifies a return to happiness.

If you want to show your loved one that your life is complete with them, give them a few lilies of the valley.
The next May Flower is the Hawthorn
This May flower represents two things: Hope and supreme happiness.
The Hawthorn also gives this red seed which is right before the flowers come. They make for a lovely arrangement too.
That is it folks, the two flowers for the month of May. Don't forget that flowers have meanings. You may want to read up on them before sending a wrong meaning to someone. Or better yet send a fantastic gift by knowing which flower is their birth flower.
